Casa de las Estrellas is a Waldorf inspired school in Nosara, Costa Rica serving children from preschool through 6th grade.

Our three children (ages 3, 7 and 9) go to school here. Besides the magical setting (jungle and beach), amazing teachers, and tight community, this is the only Waldorf school certified by the ministry of education in Costa Rica. Initially thought Waldorf education was a little 'woo' - turns out, it's a science-backed, holistic, arts-integrated approach that nurtures the head, heart, and hands to foster creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. Not to mention deep connection with self and nature. If you want the best school in Nosara for toddler - 6th grade, look no further. We're so grateful this school exists and we're excited to continue building our community with existing and new families.

A dream of a school! Incredibly lucky our son can learn and play right next to the beach in a safe, stimulating and thoughtful environment. Says a lot about the place when the teachers and staff love to be there and are all smiles. Encourage anyone to schedule a visit, you’ll leave enchanted.

Our 4-year-old son visits this school and he (and we) love it. it‘s a spacious finca, with open-air classrooms right at the beach, absolutely magic not only for the children. truly representing the philosophy of waldorf-founder Rudolf Steiner.

This school is a dream! All of the teachers are such kind hearted humans and have held our children with such love and care. The festivals are pure magic, as are the sweet daily rituals (songs, bread making, beach and farm walks, etc). The campus is beautiful, with inviting classrooms on the beach and in the jungle. We are so grateful to be part of such a loving and beautiful community and education that honors the whole development of our children, allowing them to play and grow with nature, community and awe for life.
